Last season we finished 13th. Our most prolific goalscorer and 2 best defenders left, and

our marquee signing was 33 year old clogger Ashley Barnes. Then we let go our very competent second goalkeeper, and (although not complaining about this one) our only creative midfielder other than Sara. We came into the season with a long term injury to Hanley and then we then loaned out our next young defender in line, and also loaned out or 10m quid signing (also not complaining about that).

Stacey has done well and has largely replaced Aarons, but can't say he's considerably better. Duffy seems to be about same level as Hanley. Rowe's emergence is a welcome boost, but other than that none of the new signings are any better than the players they replaced.

Yet you feel that expectations of challenging for promotion are not too high?
