Avoiding lockdown vs avoiding simple restrictions

I get fed up with people describing any restrictions as 'lockdown', almost nobody wants a lockdown, but that's exactly where we end up when people b'tch and moan about taking simple very mild and non limiting precautions that would tamp down on spread, viral load and help get through this with minimum economic and personal impact.

Much of our current mess stems from a reticence to jab kids (unlike loads of other places), which is making an engine room for this thing to loop round and round and round.

We also need to help with global rollout of vaccines more.
