It all depends on the hospital admissions

Which in turn depends on ongoing vaccination rates. Omicron is much more transmissible but also significantly less severe, from what we know. So I think the accelerated booster programme has been the right move and fully expect a fourth jab next year. They’ll be desperate to avoid another lockdown for political reasons but I imagine WFH guidance willl be in place for a while and maybe restrictions on hospitality businesses and large events. They’ll still lock down if admissions spike.
