Got there later than I was thinking and there were long queues to get in but they did move fast and it's probably just operational teething issues as they've not worked at capacity for a long time.

Almost no-one masked up in the Barclay bar at half time which took me aback quite a bit.

But that first OTBC was spine-tingling and we kept up a decent volume of noise throughout (apart from one or two spells, but someone always started something). Liverpool fans were a bit rubbish, dead quiet until they scored and then towards the end when it was clear they were going to win. The Gilmour chant was classless and homophobic. Talking of classless though I don't know why we sang we shoot burgulars at one point either.

The result was what it was likely to be; but there was a lot to like from watching us and I think in a few weeks we will be a different proposition entirely. I still think we need more in at CB and CDM but I don't think for a minute that's incompetence or the club somehow not realising; just reality in the transfer markets. You don't always get what you want.
