Well, there's a bigger point there

Delia had it right when she said the creation of the Prem was basically a scam by the big boys to help the rich get richer and screw the rest of us. Whether we're in it or not I've always said that much more of that TV money should flow down the pyramid than does, and not just through the top four tiers but the top seven or eight.

And being honest I think if the squad doesn't change too much we've a decent chance of making a much better fist of things this time around; and for the changes that do happen, and there will be some, I have confidence in the team we have running our recruitment just now. Unless we sell all or most of our crown jewels and fail to replace all or most of them I reckon we're staying up this time.

Time will tell of course and unless in the top six you're always circling the drain up there to an extent - cliché used to be "top six and, somehow, Stoke" but that's no longer true, is it - but I think next season will be a lot better than last season, though I'm not sure any season will top this one, which has been one of the very best I can remember even at my age. Totally gutting none of us have been there to witness it :-(
