some rich f**ks (bentleys, porsches, 4x4s, gin palace et al have torn down an old reedcutters thatched cottage and bunged a massive self build "eco-friendly" black soviet style blockhouse there on the riverfront that is not in keeping at all. They have a little stream that runs off the main river that goes to the cut which goes behind their property and the kingfisher patrols about a 200m radius. I've met the people and they are nice enough (they proper helped me out when my dayboat engine packed in) but I'm afraid their house is an eyesore.
