No, most of us have loved ones at home to
rely on for support and reassurance. Hopefully she has a nice network of friends and extended families.
It sounds like you have a nice little community - around here, you recognise faces of neighbour, and will nod a 'hello' in the summer when cutting the lawn etc when people walk past, but little else. Time for that to change.
