I think you're missing the point

nobody has compared this to the flu in this thread as far as I can see. The issue is that reporting should be as objective and as much in context as possible.

Of course measures should be taken to minimize the impact, but at the same time, context should regularly be provided that it is not a big risk for the vast majority of people. There are, after all, also a lot of people with anxiety or health phobias for whom fearmongering can cause real damage.
