That Bloomberg article yesterday was very interesting about how the government have been

attempting to change people's habits with nudges rather than draconian measures so far.

I was thinking about it and that has definitely happened.

People are washing their hands regularly/properly several times a day.

Most people are not going in to work if they are ill and many are self isolating.

As soon as anyone is found with possible symptoms in work or school scenarios they are being sent home.

People are avoiding unnecessary travel and public gatherings if they feel unwell.

There has been a behavioural shift in comparison with how the British public usually reacts to flu or other viruses that I guess has helped to slow/minimise spread when you compare our numbers with other countries.

The big question is whether it will be enough. If our numbers/deaths stay relatively low then I think you will probably be able to say the government/health advisers handled it calmly and well. If we suddenly get a massive spike and it goes crazy in the UK then they will get stick for not moving early enough.

I'm supposed to be in Norway at the end of the month, Resigning myself to the fact that's not going to happen. The virus seems to be thriving in colder/mountainous terrain if you look at the figures for those sorts of areas.
