then our financial situation will look great, but the other issues remain.

There is no guarantee we will be able to spend that money on replacements who are as good. And a relegated squad is always going to have a lot of disharmony and discontent.

Players who have stayed but think they should have been allowed to leave. Other players still holding grudges from previous season. And, perhaps most of all, a loss of faith in the manager from the players (as happened with Worthy and Neil).

Hopefully a few early wins next year will restore a happy camp, but I don't think it's guaranteed by any means. The vast majority of relegated teams don't go straight back up despite having better players than other teams in the Champ.
