I’m not sure we changed much at all. I think we just did it better.

It helps having longer for some of the squad to recover, plus those that went away had a chance to train and play differently, which must be refreshing as well. A bit more analysis time helps as well, not to mention the longer the season goes on we will get fitter and players like Emi and Onel will start to come to the fore a bit, especially if we can get Mario working properly.

However in my opinion the biggest impact yesterday was Zimmermann. It clearly rubbed off on the others. Godfrey is a great player and will be a proper leader but as yet doesn’t have the authority that Christoph has. I don’t know where he gets it from; he’s not played at the highest level or even close, but he obviously commands a lot of respect from the others.
