For that reason I was a little surprised Silverwood got appointed because our bowling tactics in the Ashes were cr*p in the main. We just relied on Broad to get out all the left handers.

Archer bowling short in bursts is good. Archer doing it every ball whilst 7-8mph down on pace is not.

You won’t take wickets on flat pitches if you never bowl at the stumps or make them play.

That said if we’d got 450 plus as we should have done and Stokes doesn’t drop that dolly then different game.
