Had a similar thing with our childhood dog.
It was the yo-yo craze of 1977, I was good at it. I had spare strings, on my desk. The dog, being a dog, decided to eat one. He was still a puppy and imperfectly house trained at that time - he shat out a row of turds all beautifully connected by the still intact string.
