I'm fairly sure that Hughton (or any BAME manager) would prefer to be given a job and

kept on based upon their ability rather than the colour of their skin.

Whilst I applaud efforts to eradicate racism from all forms of society, it shouldn't be to the extent where pity is effectively being taken on people who are not White British.

This is why I take issue, to a degree, with the principal of 'the Rooney rule'.
