Not sure about the hand ball rolling....that seems a bit illogical.

So a player can have a ball blasted onto his hand from point blank range and the ball be diverted in open play and it's not penalised but if it's diverted into the goal it is.
Also surely if a player leaves the field of play it would be easier for the fifth official to evoke a time rule ,say ten seconds.
