Basically...

...North Korea was never ever a legitimate threat to the USA and probably not even to South Korea. The Kims just want to hold on to power and all the posturing is simply their way of keeping any external intervention at bay.

The same goes for Iran. They are also no threat to the USA, but over the next weeks and months we will hear all the evil stuff they are doing all over the world and especially how this threatens USA.
