The board have invested a lot of trust in Webber

and Webber has invested a lot of trust in Farke.

I don't see a lot of alternatives to the current plan because of that reason (rightly or wrongly).

I'm sure we'll hear Webber at the end of the season saying this season wasn't good enough and there has to be an improvement on the pitch just to give him a bit of wiggle room in case we're in the crap next season around Christmas.
