Some a bit harsh

Brady did some very telling defensive work, particularly second half, especially considering he was giving away a good few inches to the bloke he was marking. His runs from the back are indicative of him usually being further forward, which is where we need him to be ideally. Tettey (or someone else) needs to ensure he is given the cover he needs when he goes forward though as he was clearly conscious of leaving gaps a few times second half.

Naismith I thought did ok, personally. He certainly put in a shift. He seems to feel the crowd though, visually disappointed when the crowd groan. I still feel he is trying positive stuff that is just not quite clicking with the rest of the team, i.e. he sees stuff that he is attempting but the rest of the team are not quite on the same wavelength. They seem to be knitting better than last season and as this season goes on, I think this will get better. Linked up well with Jerome's flick-ons, etc. and I don't think he was as bad as a 4.

Murph, agree - too lightweight. And once the opposition realise they can push him off the ball without the ref blowing up, they did that almost every time. Canos, on the other hand, was like a little energiser bunny. Much harder to knock off the ball, ran and chased all the time, every time he was knocked down, bounced straight back up again and went to win the ball back. I'd start him ahead of Murph at the weekend if he is fit enough for a start.

McGovern - I think he had a quiet night because he is very quick to come off his line. Compared to Ruddy he probably nullified 2 or 3 attacks himself by coming out swiftly. Looks very confident. I think Ruddy may stay on the bench for a while if this carries on. Agreed though that the back four have provided good cover.

Favourite moment, aside from the woodwork from Alex and Wes was Klose storming forward with the ball second half, ala Seb when he was on form. Always fun to see your CB race into the attacking third with the ball
