might be a place you have to experience and grow to love?

I've never really lived there and can't think of anything that would make me want to live there. It's a nice place to visit but nothing there that holds any long term interest.

As a rural type it doesn't hold any appeal over where I am currently (West Country) or somewhere like Cheshire/Shropshire, and if I was an urban-ite , I suspect I'd rather live in a big city like London, Manchester, Newcastle, Liverpool etc.

And I'm someone with more affinity than most to Norwich through birth/family/club affiliation.

To someone who may only know of Norwich through Alan Partridge, I can see why it may be a hard sell.

Mind you I'm not sure that places like Hull or Swansea are any easier to sell, but they manage it. It'll all boil down to wages at the end of the day.
