I was merely playing devils advocate.

I too think Neil is a very bright young manager but i still reserve judgement as to just how great he is. He has not reached the levels Lambert reached with us as yet but he has huge potential. It is however going to be a huge test of his character and resolve over the next few weeks as he's in unchartered territory.

Having been around a long time I remember Large chunks of the fan base hailing Glenn Roeder when we went on that run under him at the start of his tenure and we all know how that panned out.

Given the passions that are involved in being a football fan it's very hard not to get too carried away either way when things are going well or badly for your club, something I'm very guilty of, however if possible your have to try and look at both sides of the argument and this was all i was trying to do in my post.
