My two penneth

Football would be very dull if everything went your way all the time.

McNally struck gold when Neil was appointed, and the fact that this was followed up with an underwhelming summer transfer window shouldn't detract from that. The way I see it, we should relish the challenge facing AN and the squad and be willing them to triumph over the adversity of relatively low investment in the squad. We'd certainly have taken this scenario a year ago. In any case, transfer investment is no guarantee of success - Bournemouth ploughed millions into their team, then their luck turned and now they have tens of millions of pounds' worth of talent in the treatment for the foreseeable future.
