Yes i looked at the pop stats as well and it seems they are not
significantly over-represented in terms of MP's per head of population. As you say its due to a minority party vote being concentrated across 59 seats rather than 650. I've probably never noticed it before because the seats in question were swept up in labour's overall number of seats but now those seats are going to the SNP then the quirk/anomaly stands out somewhat.
