As SimonOTBC said below, football clearly has a problem with money.

But I don't see why we've been made a particular object for criticism. Why should we cut our ticket prices and limit our own competitiveness just because fans of one other team feel aggrieved? If the authorities and clubs got together to thrash out a common position on making football more affordable, that would be lovely, but in the meantime we have a financial strategy and we should stick to it.
