It's a good read, well written

I don't particularly agree with the content though I do agree with the sentiment around supporting one's team.

I agree expectations have changed, but I don't think the issue is down to having 10k additional fans, or even the type of fans that attend per se. I just think the type of supporter described from years gone by is increasingly in the minority. People pay more than they ever have to watch football, players are further devolved from the people that watch the game than ever, the margins between success and failure are no less fine, but the rewards that accompany success are bigger than they've ever been.

Football has changed. Not all for the better and not all for the worse. I still bloody love it.
