A hugely knowledgeable, experienced football 'expert' who can be the bridge between coaching staff and Board. Makes perfect sense to appoint someone Adams knows and respects.
The 'cutting edge' will come from the coaching staff themselves I would imagine.
Personally I'm glad it is someone with this much top flight experience and *not* someone up and coming for a role like this.
