That's why it's called "safe standing".
It would've been easy to have made it safe from the very beginning, but this time it will be ridiculously safe. Safer than having a s**tty vertical plastic blade in front of your shins that restricts movement massively and is incredibly uncomfortable.
There'll still be seats for lazy people who are unable to stand though
