many years ago similar happened to me....
they closed the branch i was based at, made all my mates redundant, kept me on.... left such a bitter taste I think I left for a competitor within 2-3 months....
found out 3-4 years later the company had gone bust... so good decision to leave anyway....
funny how somtimes things work out for the best - you never know whats round the corner...
