Have been trying to ignore this. But it's ridiculous to assert it was meant in a racist way. It was presumably a joke he referred to just to make the point that you want the right person doing the right job (so Smalling - get the ball to Townsend quickly). There's absolutely no reason to think he meant it in any kind of racist way. The whole thing is completely absurd.
