It was for me. I grew up in NW London, and my two closest league clubs were

QPR (meh); and Watford (double meh). I wanted someone different: and given the appalling reputation of English football at the time, was very, very drawn to Norwich's cute yellow shirts, family atmosphere and very attractive football.

That they were all but ignored by the media during the 88/9 title race also pissed me off massively - then what happened at Millwall clinched it as far as I was concerned.
