I think everybody knew we were struggling to score goals

We tried to spend a lot of money on a striker in January and were confident we could do a deal (confident enough to hire a plane to fly him here) but it fell through. We have also tried playing a more attacking 4-4-2 several times this year without generally creating many if any more chances than with the 1 up front formation. Sadly the reality is that we are one of the least rich Prem teams and have one of the cheapest lowest quality squads. I'm sure everyone at the club would love the situation to be different but that's the way the world is and that has limited our options
