Mine is 'what if' Chase had loosened the purse strings a little, given Walker the security he wanted & a little money to spend...?

The squad at that time remain convinced that, with the right players coming in, they might have gone on to win the Prem in 93/94.

It was that sort of self belief that helped us get 3rd-but they thought they could go a step further. We certainly played some brilliant stuff in the first few months of that season, what might have been achieved with a quality addition or two?

My other is "what if" we had signed Alan Shearer? Dave Stringer had him watched, then went to watch him himself, we even made a bid which Southampton turned down...and we left it at that. He was to be bought in as a striking partner for Fleckie...
