He's clearly a good manager.

However... prior to his appointment, Porto had won the Portuguese league in six of the previous eight seasons. They are by far and away the best club in the country. They been in the top two every season bar one since 1982. He's hardly Brian Clough.

The ascent of Mourinho from the same club clearly doesn't help my argument, indeed the similarities are striking. I just don't quite get what it is they expect from this guy that Ancelotti was incapable of providing.
