Dont overlooked the cost factor.

I know we have just landed some big money but a lot of that will be spent on paying down our debt and keeping us in the PL.

Do we really want another 20+ million debt ( the interest alone is a crusher)

Even in the PL I think we might struggle to fill 34,000 for most of the matches.

If there was a cheaper option to boost up the capacity to 28-30,000 I think that would be easilly enough.

Look at the riverside........ 15,000 and it looks totally empty.

All the PL revenue is from TV.

Lets say we could get another 7000 fans in at 25 quid averge ticket x 19 games, thats only an extra 3 million a season. (at most)

Peanuts compared to all the other revenue streams.

The upside of having very few casual tickets available is we dont have to pay for extra admin staff as most people have a ST
