I usually stay at the Travelodge.

They do some cracking deals if you book well in advance.

Despite recent press reports about certain travelodges. I've never had any problems and found the rooms clean.

The holiday Inn at the ground do some good deals as well and the breakfast is good. On my last stay there i was upgraded to a pitchside room.
