If you were thinking of travelling by train and returning on the 22:00 back to Liverpool Street then catching a late tube home, you may have to revise your plans. Due to engineering work between Liverpool Street and Stratford, the 22:00 from Norwich terminates at Shenfield and is due in 23:38. This leaves a five minute connection for the 23:43 to Stratford which arrives at 00:01. From there you should be able to get a tube back to London. There are tubes from Stratford until twelve minutes past midnight on the central line with the last Jubilee Line train leaving at seven minute past midnight. If the train is early (sometimes this does actually happen) there is a 23:38 service from Shenfield to Stratford which arrives at 23:55. All fine in theory, but should there be a delay anywhere the chances of getting stranded in Essex or North East London are quite high, so it maybe worth finding a driver or car-sharing for these games.
