I think you're right. It would've been dangerous to bring in a new man who might change too much. The only concern is that the board will no doubt select one of the available managers rather than headhunting the man they want and trying to get him.

Honestly I have little faith that they'd appoint the correct choice, so we may as well go with someone we like at least!
