MOst are agreed Roeder knew a player but his management skills, particularly his motivatio

nal skills were suspect to say the least. Also that he signed some good players.

Therefore motivation/good management is what is needed for us in the short-term.

A big name/experienced manager would have wanted cash (which we don't have) to bring in his own players and start from scratch again.

We can't afford to do this as we have done it twice in the last two seasons already and look where it has got us.

Therefore this appointment will get the crowd behind the team which when this happened under Roeder (Wolfs, Scum, Brum) we played well.

Bit of a gamble? Yes. But no more than bringing in Ince (failed in last job), Boothroyd (failed ultimately in last job), Robins (compensation required), Calderwood (compensation required) etc.
