but how many of us actually know anything about the canteen lady

The kit man and all those people? None of us. We turn up and watch the team. The rest is just stories that make us dislike/like the man, depending on your opinion of him.

Yesterday was great because of Gunny, no doubt, and that's because he's a legend and people love him. It's nothing to do with having our club back, it's to do with having a man in charge that we like. (who doesn't look like a rat faced freak show) (actually Gunny does look a bit scary these days!)
