my 2p

I'm a pretty quiet Wrather and since my support started in 1985 I've seen both good and bad times. No doubt we are in a pretty poor moment in our history.

I was pleased to see Glen go, I'm sorry for him because i think he is a good man and would probably make a good Director of Football. Unfortunately I think his management, tactical and technical skills are limited and soon opposing teams and the dressing room find him out. This would explain his record or doing well initially and then everything falling apart (normally in the second year). However I wish him luck.

I like the noise that Gunny is making from the club, regarding the dressing room and the academy kids and I hope he will start to restore the faith and positivity the club needs. But he is not the answer.

Neither is Nigel Worthington. I respect the views of others and cherish his legacy as a man that took us to the promised land when others couldn't. But 9 times out of 10 it never works when a manager goes back...didn't Howard Kendell have 3 cracks at Everton. I also feel his appointment would split the fans when we all need to be united.

The appointment of Ince or Aidy would excite me again. Both have done well in their careers, both have felt the rough side of management in recent times but they are people I feel our players would want to play for and this has to be the key.

Ince is a winner and shrewd manager, Aidy knows the club and has taken a smaller club to the Premier League. Malky would swing the Aidy vote for me, I'd love to see the big fella back.

Bubbling under for me is Mark Robins. I like him but is he strong enough and experienced enough for this huge job. It's a risk.

I feel Holloway and Jewell are great managers on the day but sometimes I do wonder where their heads are. We need a dedicated, strong leader with a good media prescence. Although I find both men entertaining on camera I'm not sure I want to be laughing at our next manager.

Dean Saunders and Mark Bown would be risks, great reputation but I'm not sure our club is the right place to be learning the ropes.

My just say no list is extensive: Rioch, both Calderwoods, Dowie, O'Leary, Cotterill, McAllister, Sanchez, Hoddle, Pardew, Curbs, Robson, Royle and Souness. These guys have either failed too many times or just bring way too much baggage.

So when you start to look we are only left with a few options. The key is this...worse case scenario and we get relegated, which could happen. Which manager could cope with that, get the club sorted and take Div 1 by storm next season. On a more positive front if we manage to stay up which manager would bring good players in, is tactically aware, works well with kids and could develop the team. Those are the questions that need to be asked. And for me that's Aidy and Malky.

All the best to everyone.
