Even if you felt Worthington was the best option, you just wouldn't go there would you? After all that happened... I really must be dreaming.
Worthington would be a toxic appointment - why take the risk? Why make an appointment that would incur so much wrath? that would make the Board look utterly out of touch and frankly a little screwy?
If he was the world's greatest manager who had some bum luck but had gone on to astonishing success elsewhere, then maybe... but frankly, he just isn't that great and the resentment with which such an appointment would be met should have frightened them away.
What on God's green earth are they playing at?
