But when the Callum story first surfaced, Smith was asking for an absurd price that Callum clearly would never pay, nor would it seem, anyone else, as there appears to be no takers.

Here's an analogy: It's kind of similar to you Monty putting your house on the market for ?500,000. However, everyone looking at buying it think its only worth ?350,000. You refuse that price, as you've got a hefty mortgage on your house and you'd lose a tonne of money by accepting. However, sadly, your house is only worth what someone is willing to pay, regardless of what you might think its worth. Same thing with Norwich and Smith.
