no he's not handling it well at all IMO,

I think you're spot on about him having one hand tied behind his back though. Personally I believe he has a plan but i think there are too many people who don't have the patience to see it through. This is why I don't get all the negativity around him. I know he's upset a few people but at the end of the day, I'd rather have someone who is a bastard but has a plan, than a nice guy who has no idea.
