There MAY have been something in the worry about the banks enforcing a "change of control" clause. I doubt it, since why would they, and anyway the club would have been able to take Cullum's ?20m, pay off the debt, still have some and be debt free. But it was during the credit crunch so ...
More importantly, I think (just cod psychology) that the real sticking point isn't because Delia thinks the property is worth more than Cullum does. It's because she just can't bear not to be running the club any more.
