I often get emails from college American Football players who failed to get in the NFL, and want to play in Yurp (although most expect to get paid which we won't do).

Anyway, just had this one (who by the way had a Dutch surname) applying to play for the Amsterdam Crusaders, who he told me he had heard great things about and that "I am looking to stay in Germany for a few years and focus with being with one team".

Incredible. I replied that I hated to disappoint him, but Amsterdam hadn't been part of Germany since 1945.
