I'm delighted that Obama won

but only because it represents another barrier being broken down: I'll be pleasantly surprised if there's any real change.

And I'm delighted that the Publicans are out of office. I know the US doesn't really have a Left, but I can't help mentally bracketing the Publicans with our Tories.
