Norwich should have been 3-0 down by half-time, at least.
Burnley'd hit the post after beating the offside-trap, and somehow managed to not score after Marshall spilled the ball after a save in the first half. And all of this without a peep out of any of the 11,000 of them.
I texted mbk at half time to say "I've got no idea how we're not 3-0 down".
Second half started better - Nodge had some decent possession in the Burnley half, and even managed to sustain it for a while. The changes helped - I like Croft but he wasn't getting anywhere, and I've alwasy liked Semi. Croft going off for Pattison meant that Bell went from the left wing to the right, replacing Croft, and being replaced by Pattison.
I thought Pattison did pretty well, got nicely stuck in, and Bell didn't do too badly either on the left or the right.
On the whole, though, too many long and aimless balls, mostly from Doherty and Omozusi. None of them came to anything.
Didn't work thier keeper anywhere near enough. Where above I've said a player might've dome "ok"- that's not right really - none of them were good enough.
However, Burnley have a better side than we do, and the better side deserved to win. They moved the ball better, and quicker, they moved off the ball quicker, they used space better, and got in behind us with real threat. Burnley winning was the deserved result, and it could have been much worse than by just two goals.
And then, after all 11,000 of them making all the noise of a f**king church mouse in the first half, they go 2-0 up and start singing "Your support is f**king s**t". Hillariously this was pretty much the first thing they sang all day.
