Well, to be fair, we got back from the game at about half six, since then I've cooked a splendid supper, Mrs AB has watched the Kareoke Factor, and I've watched the Stanford Bottling.
So we're not "just" back from the game.
However, I am still f**king angry.
Am I angry at Norwich's pretty abject performance today? No, not really. They lost, away, again. Against a (swallow hard on this one, you won't like it) better side. That annoys me, but I can put it into perspective. More on that later.
What really annoyed me was the childish f**king cretins booing Fotheringham when he was subbed off, and even worse, abusing Omozuzi while he was limping off to get treatment in the dressing room, after coming off injured. Shame on you.
Fucking shame on you, you pathetic c**ts.
Between those two events the same guys who were responsible tried to start a chant of "This is embarrassing, this is embarrassing".
Damned f**king right it's embarrassing. Watching a bunch of so-called supporters switch from a creditable vocal support of the team, to shouting "Fuck off you c**t" to a substituted Norwich player is the most embarrassing thing I've seen in a football stadium since, well actually since last saturday when I had the misfortune of seeing that f**king weasel the "Canary Fairy".
So anyway, here's the perspective I alluded to earlier:
In the summer Roeder saw fit to get rid of ALMOST FUCKING EVERYBODY AT THE CLUB. I think it was called a "root-and-branch clear out". Anyway, whatever you care to call it, I can remember loads of people saying before it happened that this was exactly what should happen. And it happened. Amen.
As well as clearing out many of the back-room staff Roeder got rid of many of the w**kers that the previous brain-dead encumbent of his position saw fit to sign. Did I see any of you moaning about the loss of Brellier, Strihavka? No I f**king didn't.
And at the same time as all of this was happening, the manager was saying: "this is a long term project." And it hardly takes any f**king brains at all to see that he was right, does it? Of course it's going to be a long-term project.
For the avoidance of doubt: any team which sacks half it's back-room staff and much of its playing staff, is NOT going to be challenging for promotion the season after that happens. I knew that already. I knew that because the manager told me that. Besides the f**king manager telling me, COMMON FUCKING SENSE told me.
For the further avoidance of doubt: success this season is not represented by "the play-offs". Its represented by staying up (Gasp! Gosh! Never!), and then giving the manager the opportunity to improve.
And hopefully all that will be aided by the current owners selling up the the multi f**king milllionaire that apparently wants to buy the club. You can only hope, eh?
