In response to the thread further dwon, I don't think he is that lazy or arrogant, certainly no more than most 'flair' players are anyway.
I think his problem (if there is one) comes from the small town mentality.
Spends a lot of time there with his mates, and is a very very big fish. I mean at that age, if one of your mates had played and scored for city he'd be you're hero.
Perfectly understandable.

What He, and City, need to do is get him out of that mindset now.
His mates, and a lot of other locals may think he's made it, which may transfer to him, someone needs to make him realise he hasn't though, and I reckon GR can do that.
A month or so away from home wouldn't hurt him either, one to send to Hartlepool possibly?
