Ok i'll start with the downers, the m62, a jack knifed land rover shed its load of xmas trees causing me an hour and a half delay. Camera, the boy is a liabilty, he had a mare! as did pattison he showed some potential but was pretty poor played some nice passes but didnt look to see if there was anyone there first. The defence was quiet and poorly organised only when dion come back did they look like a unit.
Oh the ref was horrific for both sides, it was never a penalty we weren't given corners and freekicks but equally pool can feel agrieved that dion was on the pitch
Onwards to the glory
WE WON AWAY
Dion is an absolute legend hos is he not our captain, he has the most influence, is the most vocal and is class on the pitch. His second goal was exceptional and his fitness is astonishing, his tackle on the keeper was poor and mistimed but it certainly put the wind up him
The fans who went all deserve a medal, it wasn't overly cold but a lack of roof made singing hard though we did our best
Croft and hucks looked great when they came on and have certainly made a claim for a place in the starting XI
Ratings
Marshall 6 dropped a clanger for their goal but equitted himself well otherwise
Camera 4 didnt look like he knew what he was doing and was out of his depth
SHackell 7 solid display is quiet
Taylor 7 again solid scored a good goal guilty of not putting a tackle in
Otsemobor 7 good runs and tracking back lacks a little bit of composure
Pattison 5 showed glimpses but was disappointing
Russell 4 gave the ball away A LOT and lunged in with poorly timed tackle and it was only because he is so slow that he didn't connect with any
Fotheringham 7 solid in the centre, stayed back a lot but didn't really do anything wrong
Chadwick 6 was annon didn't really show too much had a couple of good runs
JC 7 should have done better with a couple of opportunities but gave the pool defence a lot of problems
Dion 9 would have been 10 if he hadn't put himself in danger of being sent off - i cannot convey how important he was in our win tonight
Subs
Ched 6 didnt have alot of time to influence anything made some good runs dragging defenders but didn't look any better than big dave or martin
Hucks 8 best performance from him this year, maximum effort from him and he made a difference when it looked like we'd end up losing
Croft 8 again best he's played bar man c, lots of runs held the ball brilliantly and porbably should have had a goal
anway OTBC
