I've got the Bose one

(though I think there is a newer version since I got it). Sounds fine to me, though my hearing isn't great.

Of course, unless you are using a lossless format, performance is limited by the bit rate, if your hearing is good enough to tell the difference.

Flanders and Swann had some thoughts on the matter in the 60's.
